New to OverDrive and its Digital Content?

1)     www.marshfieldlibrary.org
2)     Click on “E-sources” link at the top right of the page.
3) Find “OverDrive” in the alphabetical list and click on it.
4) At “Wisconsin’s Digital Library’s” homepage, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the “Getting started” link in the Help group.
5) Follow the directions and specific instructions for your platform or device and complete all downloads as required.
6) Back on the homepage of Wisconsin’s Digital Library, click on the “Sign In” link at the top of the page.
7) Sign in by choosing “South Central Library System” from the drop down menu.  Enter your 14-digit library card number.
8) Click on the ‘My account” icon to change your “settings” as desired.  You may want to increase your lending periods.  Your changes will be saved.
9) Use the magnifying glass icon, “advanced search” or “subjects” or “collections” to search for an item.  You may want to limit or filter your results by selecting the “show me…available now” option before clicking on the button to “submit” your search.
10) Take a look at your results to find an interesting “cover” and click on “sample” to take a peak or the “borrow” button.
11) Go  to your “loans” where you can download the title after you choose the appropriate format for your device or choose to read/listen in browser if you have an internet connection.
12) Enjoy your selection.  You will never get an overdue as the item returns itself. Items not currently available may be placed on hold, and will checkout into your account when available. You may have as many as 10 items checked out.
